Get to know us

Our business idea has formed because travel should be personal and not one size fits all.

Voyageur Bohème is an independent tour operator and travel advisor business that offers the service of travel design. Hence, it is a Travel Design Agency. This allows us to make it possible to design exactly what our clients desire.

Responsible business is at the heart of what we do. Operating responsibly and incorporating principles of sustainable tourism is our priority. These values are ingrained in the culture and daily operations of Voyageur Bohème and every trip we design.

While we pledge to offset the carbon emissions of our client’s trips and to leave a lighter footprint everywhere we and our clients go, we also take it a step further and support local communities, human rights, wildlife, and environmental conservation projects. We aim to combat over-tourism by seeking out less popular destinations, embrace slow travel, and connecting deeply with destinations.

Behind the Brand

Our Brand Story

“Voyageur” (French) = Traveller
“Bohème“ (French) = Bohemian

Voyageur Bohème evokes the image of a free-spirited and open-minded traveler who is attuned to art, design, creativity, exploration, awareness, adventure, and extraordinary experiences.

Voyageur Bohème for our brand means a specific visual aesthetic, awareness for sustainability, versatility, and wanderlust.

sustainable travel design hummingbird logo graphic

“Like the tiny bird seeking the flowers’ nectar, we should be looking at what’s good in life”

The hummingbird in our logo was chosen for two reasons, it is one of the favorite animals of our founder Corinna and they embody vibrancy, energy, agility, and their seemingly happy and carefree flight has something magical.

Hummingbirds are associated with perseverance and endurance as they are capable of flying long distances to reach their destination. The symbolism of the hummingbird is linked to the idea of infinity and eternity. The bird’s wings move in the pattern of figure eight, the ancient symbol of continuity.

"Not all those who wander are lost "

Hi there, I’m Corinna

Born and raised in Reutlingen, a city in the southwest of Germany, I enjoyed for most of my life spending time at the stable with horses and in nature. I also have an unquenchable thirst for traveling and I can be quite obsessive when it comes to planning things.

When I plan a trip for family, friends, or myself I usually do an excessive amount of research, try to be as thoughtful as possible about the activities, transportation, and accommodation as well as being very detail-oriented. I’ll do the same for my clients, as my goal is to design their personal dream trip – and nothing less.

I have to admit, researching and planning trips, particularly things like best photo spots, food, and discovering off-the-beaten-path places, gives me a tremendous amount of joy. I also love sharing my findings with everyone interested.

Some people might wonder, why traveling? Well, it’s more than just traveling to me, it’s seeing and experiencing the world. I’ve always had a bad case of Fernweh and longed for distant places.

That’s probably why I moved to Los Angeles when I was 23, after having spent two summers there before as an international student. Living in sunny California was a big adventure, and I stayed for 3 years. Los Angeles will always have a special place in my heart.

In 2013, I moved to Boston for my Master’s Degree. Once I had graduated and found myself back in Germany I started working as a Marketing Manager.

Onto my next adventure,  I found myself in Paris, the city of lights, a few years later. I lived in Montmartre and loved to discover the hidden gems of Paris. In the midst of the second covid-wave, I decided to follow my passion and return to Germany to start my own business.

While living in another country gives you a deep insight into the culture, society, and place, I strongly believe that traveling could also give you a very good insight, when done right, and without all the stress of an international move.

I’m very grateful that I have had the opportunity so far to visit well over 30 countries and many places more than once. Some of the places I’ve visited are Morocco, Croatia, Hawaii, Italy, Norway,  Zanzibar (Tanzania), Ireland and Indonesia. I also have a very long list of places and things I would like to see/experience and I’m very happy to share it with you if you’re looking for inspiration.

At Voyageur Bohème, we would love to plan the trip you always wanted to take or help you in deciding where to go next! You can be sure your itinerary will be designed with as much care as if it would be our own trip. For this, we would like to get to know you better and understand what is important to you, your preferences, taste, and anything else that makes you you.
